In this class, I not only learned the fundamentals of User Experience (UX) but also developed the essential skills required for a career in UX design. I gained a deep understanding of formal and functional analysis, enabling me to evaluate both the aesthetic and practical aspects of design. I explored the role of metaphors, affordances, and constraints in guiding user interactions, helping to create intuitive experiences. We studied the levels of design, from visceral to reflective, and examined the pleasures of design, learning how to make products not just functional but enjoyable and emotionally engaging.

I also mastered the 7 design principles, which are critical for crafting user-centered, accessible, and efficient designs. Understanding design language, as well as the relationship between form and function, allowed me to create cohesive, visually appealing interfaces that align with user needs. This comprehensive knowledge equips me to contribute meaningfully to any UX design project. Below, you can see the projects I completed in the class that demonstrate these key UX principles in action.
